Cookd.ca is a social cooking app I built with friends, hosted at cookd.ca. The live site describes Cookd.ca as a place to "cook together and share your recipes with the world," and that is exactly the vibe: like Beli, but for your own cooking.
People post what they cook, share recipes, follow friends, browse community cooks, and build a personal cooking profile over time. We grew Cookd.ca to around 120 cooks with lots of people posting recipes, meals, comments, likes, and showcases, which made it feel like a real little food community instead of just a class-project idea.
I am especially proud of the cooking streak management system. It gives users a weekly streak, explains how the streak is counted, highlights cook and co-cook days, and turns cooking into an engagement loop people can keep coming back to.
On the product side, we worked on making Cookd.ca feel like a real app: delivery and shipping polish, notification systems, engagement loops, growth strategies, invite flows, profile/showcase mechanics, recipe discovery, and the small details that make people want to post again.
- Delivery and launch polish for a hosted public app
- Notification systems for social activity and retention
- Engagement loops around cooking streaks and co-cooking
- Growth strategies, invites, and community traction
- Recipe posting, discovery, profiles, showcases, likes, and comments
Try it at cookd.ca.
