I had the opportunity to do a consulting style project for Walmart Canada as part of a program I did in 2022 called TKS.
The proposal we pitched involved using RFID technology in their stores to make checkouts much more efficient, reduce theft and increase inventory accuracy.
During the project, my team and I did a ton of research, outreach to industry professionals. I personally really enjoyed thinking about the different limits and consequences of implementing our solution, and especially the case studies on how other companies implemented similar solutions.
I project managed a team of five for this month long endeavor, and I learned a ton about how to be a good PM, from allocating tasks to keeping people on the ball and resolving conflicts.
Thought our proposal wasn’t selected as the winner at the end, I’m still very proud of the super high quality deck and proposal we made.
